Brenner Named Senior CLASS Finalist

Oregon senior Liz Brenner was one of 10 NCAA women’s volleyball student-athletes selected as a finalist for the 2014 Senior CLASS Award, Monday.

To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition. The complete list of finalists follows this release.

Nationwide fan voting begins immediately to help select the winner. Fans are encouraged to vote on the Senior CLASS Award website through December 8. Fan votes will be combined with media and Division I head coaches’ votes to determine the winner.

Brenner is a two-time AVCA Second Team All-American led the Pac-12 in kills per set as a junior (4.67). Not only is Brenner a captain and team leader, but she also dedicates her time to better the community through volunteer work.

The Senior CLASS Award winner will be announced during the 2014 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship in December.
