Fall travel fair includes a look at the UO’s new travel software

The University of Oregon Business Affairs Travel Office invites campus travel coordinators and travelers to attend the 2017 UO Travel Fair on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Erb Memorial Union ballroom.

This biennial event brings together airlines, UO-contracted travel agencies, ground transportation providers, hotels from around the state and local tourism agencies. Also staffing tables at the event will be UO departments that offer travel services and assist departments with campus events and tours for visitors coming to the UO.

The fair lets travel coordinators and travelers meet with travel service providers. They can compare products and services in one spot, identify new resources and get answers to travel questions so planning business travel is efficient and the traveler experience is the best it can be.

This year the fair will feature representatives from Concur, the university’s new travel planning and reimbursement software slated to roll out spring 2018. Concur software will make travel planning and the reimbursement process smoother and more efficient. Travel coordinators and travelers are encouraged to come preview the web-based program and associated applications for smartphones and tablets.
