Family movie night premieres with “Brave”

The University of Oregon will bring the popcorn; you bring the family.

Ducks After Dark will host a free movie night for UO families Thursday, Feb 28. The movie “Brave” will be featured at 6:45 p.m. in PLC 180, and the university will provide popcorn and candy to share.

Ducks after Dark is an Erb Memorial Union program that provides students the opportunity to plan and implement events; it functions as a student program board presenting late-night film festivals.

Titles reflect a wide range of cultural, ethnic, lifestyle, political, philosophical and popular-expression styles. Films are chosen, promoted and managed by student coordinators with the support of dedicated educators.

Ducks after Dark is committed to promoting diversity of expression on the UO campus through the active recruitment of highly qualified employees and the presentation of well-marketed programs.

This is a first-time event that will continue quarterly if popular. Parents must accompany children at all UO family events.

The event is sponsored by Ducks After Dark, Work-Life Resources, Moss Street Children’s Center and Nontraditional Student Programs.
