Ann Curry's connections to the UO run deep: She's both a graduate and a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Oregon.

But she's also a former anchor and correspondent for NBC News who now manages her own multimedia startup, and it was in that role that she paid a visit to students in the UO School of Journalism and Communication. She spent time with students Wednesday while she was in town for meetings.

The top thing she emphasized with students was the need for accuracy.

"Your reputation is based on your accuracy," she said. "Triple-check your facts."
