Fund for Faculty Excellence awards go to outstanding educators

Thirteen outstanding members of the University of Oregon faculty have been selected to receive the Fund for Faculty Excellence Awards for 2012-13, designed to support, recognize and retain world-class tenure-related faculty.

Recipients have been chosen on for their standing and impact within their respective fields or disciplines, their contributions to program and institutional quality at the UO and their academic leadership. They include:

·   Patrick Bartlein, College of Arts and Sciences, geography

·   David Conley, College of Education

·   Darren Johnson, College of Arts and Sciences, chemistry

·   Andrew Lovering, College of Arts and Sciences, human physiology

·   Allen Malony, College of Arts and Sciences, Computer and Information Science

·   Laura Lee Mclntyre, College of Education

·   Michelle McKinley, School of Law

·   Ellen McWhirter, College of Education

·   Melissa Redford, College of Arts and Sciences, linguistics

·   Joshua Roering, College of Arts and Sciences, geological sciences

·   Daniel Rosenberg, Clark Honors College

·   Josh Snodgrass, College of Arts and Sciences, anthropology

·   Ted Toadvine, College of Arts and Sciences, philosophy and environmental studies

The award is a one-time salary stipend of $20,000 or research funds totaling $25,000.
