HR, Academic Affairs encourages a respectful workplace

UO leaders have issued a message to campus encouraging a respectful work place.

The message from Nancy Resnick, the chief human resources officer; Doug Blandy, senior vice provost for academic affairs; and Susan Anderson, senior vice provost for academic affairs said the UO is "committed to diversity and inclusion and providing an environment free of discrimination and harassment in which all students, staff and faculty may contribute and thrive. Hostile, intimidating, or abusive behavior damages the strong sense of community valued at UO. Please join us in working to ensure that each member of our community benefits from a respectful and inclusive working and learning environment."

The message included resources about how to create a more respective environment, information on professional development opportunties, and how to report inapproriate behavior or prohibited discrimition.
