Dear Campus Community,

It is with great honor that I, on behalf of the Board of Trustees of the University of Oregon, cordially invite you to the investiture of Michael H. Schill as the eighteenth president of the University of Oregon.

The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena. A reception will follow in the Giustina Ballroom and Barker Courtyard at the Ford Alumni Center.

This celebration is open to all. Members of the academy are encouraged to wear their academic regalia, and may RSVP here.

This formal confirmation of Michael Schill as president will be both a traditional academic ceremony, as well as a celebration of his successful first year at the helm of the university.

I encourage all our faculty, staff, students, and community members to attend the investiture ceremony and reception as well as additional academic events that are being planned as part of the celebration. Additional details will be provided on the Office of the President, Investiture webpage, as they become available.

This is an exciting and historic time for the University of Oregon, and we look forward to celebrating with the entire campus.

Sincerely,

Charles M. Lillis
Chair, Board of Trustee of the University of Oregon
