Latest Knight gift would create a new sports science facility at the Cas Center

The UO will add to its cutting-edge athletics facilities with a new sports science clinic in the Len Casanova Center, if the idea is approved by the UO Board of Trustees at its upcoming meeting.

With a gift from longtime UO supporters Phil and Penny Knight, the athletics department plans to convert a portion of the Casanova Center’s first floor into the Marcus Mariota Sports Performance Complex. It will include equipment to help athletes with post-performance recovery and diagnose problems.

If approved, construction is expected to begin in January and be complete by the following September. For the full story, see “Ducks plan new sports center named for Mariota” on GoDucks.com.
