PEBB meetings focus on better care, lower costs

Better health at lower costs.

That will be the focus of the Oregon Public Employees Benefit Board (PEBB) during a series of meetings open to the University of Oregon community beginning April 1.

The board is a labor-management board whose purpose is to provide high-quality benefits at a cost affordable to employees and the state. The board works toward its goals through values such as employee choice among high quality plans.

Members of the board will introduce themselves and share strategies for better health and better care at lower costs. Participants can also share thoughts on what the board should prioritize when making choices about health care within available resources.

A meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 2 in the EMU Walnut Room. Other meetings will be held across the state throughout April. For a list of meetings and times please go to http://www.oregon.gov/DAS/PEBB/Pages/AprilMeetings.aspx.

The board will also provide an online version of the presentation and a web-based survey. For more information, contact pebb.connect@state.or.us.
