Second ombudsperson finalist visits UO Friday

The second of two finalists for the position of university ombudsperson will be on campus for interviews on Friday, June 24. All interested faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the public presentation at 4:15 p.m. in the Johnson Hall conference room.

The name of the second finalist and candidate materials will be posted on the Office of the President website on Wednesday, June 22.

The first candidate, Brett Elizabeth Harris, visited campus June 10 and made a public presentation. The feedback period for Harris is now closed.

The university ombudsperson is a designated neutral and impartial dispute resolution practitioner whose major function is to provide confidential and informal assistance to university students, staff, faculty and administrators. The ombudsperson is not an advocate for any individual or for the university, but rather acts as an advocate for fairness and healthy campus conflict resolution.
