Three members of the board of trustees to hold office hours

Laura Lee McIntyre, Jimmy Murray and Will Paustian

The student, nonfaculty staff and faculty members of the Board of Trustees of the University of Oregon will each hold an open office hour session this month to hear from members of the campus community.

Each trustee sent an email to members of their respective groups inviting them to drop in to ask questions, give feedback and discuss concerns and ideas.

The student trustee, Will Paustian, is holding his drop-in to provide students an opportunity to talk about the board, the role of the student trustee and issues facing the university. Paustian is a junior in the Clark Honors College.

His first drop-in for this year is Friday, Nov. 10, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the office of the Associated Students of the University of Oregon on the ground floor of the Erb Memorial Union.

The new nonfaculty staff member of the board, Jimmy Murray, is holding two open office hours to connect with classified staff and officers of administration, respectively. Murray is a technology specialist and student coordinator with the Price Science Library.

His drop-in for classified staff is Thursday, Nov. 16; a session for OAs is Friday, Nov. 17. Both are from noon to 1 p.m. in the EMU’s Owyhee Room.

The new faculty trustee, Laura Lee McIntyre, will hold open office hours dedicated to visiting with faculty colleagues. McIntyre is a professor in and head of the Department of Special Education and Clinical Sciences.

Her fall drop-in is Friday, Nov. 17, from noon to 1 p.m. in the EMU’s Metolius Room.

If these times do not work, members of campus should feel free to email the board office.
