UO Alert! system to conduct April 16 test

A test of the UO Alert! Emergency Notification System will be conducted on Tuesday, April 16 by the UO Emergency Management and Continuity (UOEMC) program.

The following test message will be sent via e-mail and text message to registered cell phone numbers, and through the Smart Classroom system in certain classrooms on campus:

TEST: The university is conducting a test of the UO Alert! System. This is only a test.

If you have not already registered your text-enabled cell phone, or need to update your information, log into Duckweb (https://duckweb.uoregon.edu); select the “personal Information” menu; select the “enter/update emergency alert phone” link; enter your text-enabled cell phone number, including area code; and then hit “submit.”

The alert system cannot accept international cell phone numbers.

For newly-registered cell phone numbers to be included in the April 16 test, they must be registered in Duckweb by 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 14.
