UO and Eugene come together to support UCC community

The tragic events that struck Roseburg and Umpqua Community College have moved the University of Oregon and other community members to reach out in further support of the UCC community.

On Saturday, Oct. 10, the UO, Lane Community College, Lane Transit District and Essig Entertainment will provide UCC students, faculty and staff a gameday experience as the Ducks take on the Washington State Cougars.

University of Oregon Athletics has provided more than 1,400 tickets in the form of reserved and standing room only tickets to Saturday’s game against the Cougars to members of the UCC community. Prior to the game, attendees with a UCC ID are invited to a private tailgate, which will include food, refreshments and entertainment provided by local vendors from across Lane County.

The tailgate, which begins at noon, will be located at Essig Field, directly across the street from Autzen Stadium on MLK Jr. Blvd., next to the UO Alumni Association and Washington State tailgate parties.

LTD will provide free shuttle service from any park and ride location for all attendees with their UCC ID.
