UO center receives Access to Language Education Award

The Center for Applied Second Language Studies has been selected by the Computer-Assisted Language Instruction Consortium to receive this year's Access to Language Education Award.

The award recognizes websites that provide a breadth and depth of resources that support language learning and the integration of technology.

"CALICO brings together innovators in the field of language education, technology and research. Their Access to Language Education Award recognizes the best available resources for educators, and we at CASLS are honored to have received this year's award. We have a wonderful team who works diligently every day to make this kind of meaningful impact on language teaching and learning," said Julie Sykes, the center's director and associate professor of linguistics.

The Computer-Assisted Language Instruction Consortium is an international organization that supports educators, programmers, developers and researchers committed to the use of technology-based materials for world language learning.
