UO events will mark national Take Our Children to Work Day

Campus will play host to the children of UO families April 27 as the university participates in national Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.

Faculty and staff can now register to take part in the event that is part of a national program that encourages children to begin thinking about their futures and introduce them to career opportunities.

Under the theme “Count on Me,” 9-to-13-year-old children of UO families will participate in organized activities to inspire them to be a person others can count on.

“Take Our Children to Work Day at the UO creates an experience that connects educational pursuit with occupational opportunity,” said Sandee Bybee, employee engagement and communications manager in human resources. “Our event has been redesigned from previous years to showcase programs and departments closely aligned with the ‘Count on Me’ theme while creating opportunity for children to explore the campus community where their parents work.”

Event details and registration instructions are provided on the Take Our Children to Work Day webpage on the HR website.
