UO Libraries announce launch of new learning management system

The University of Oregon Libraries recently launched Canvas, a new learning management system, which is now available for the 2015 spring term.

Canvas has replaced Blackboard and is being used with more than 300 courses. All classes will be required to migrate to Canvas by fall 2015.

Students, faculty and graduate students tested the system and gave it favorable reviews for its navigation, grade book feature, easy-to-learn user interface and email communications and notifications. Canvas also offers a free mobile interface.

Students are encouraged to log in and learn Canvas and can receive system support here.

Graduate students and faculty can receive support or training here.
