UO's 2013 MLK Awards and inaugural MLK essay winners announced

The Office of Equity and Inclusion has announced winners of the inaugural Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Essay Contest and winners of the University of Oregon's 2013 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Awards.

In this first year of the essay contest, materials were solicited from undergraduate and graduate students in two categories: written and video essays.

Office of Equity and Inclusion planning meetings continue Friday

UO Vice President for Equity and Inclusion Yvette Alex-Assensoh held the second of three town hall meetings on Thursday to receive input from students, faculty, staff and the greater community on issues relating to a new strategic action plan for the Office of Equity and Inclusion.

The third meeting will be from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Friday in Room 184 of the Knight Law Center.

UPDATED: Town hall meetings scheduled for OEI action plan

The University of Oregon's Office of Equity and Inclusion will host three town hall meetings during the first week of winter term to gather input from across campus about an equity and inclusion action plan. The meetings signal the start of a process to update OEI's strategic plan for diversity.
