Officers of administration are invited to take a guided tour of the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art exhibition, “Conversations in the Round House: Roots, Roads & Remembrances.”
Exhibit curators Cheryl Hartup and Danielle Knapp will provide insight into various art pieces from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30. The show is related to the current Common Reading book, “The Round House,” by Louise Erdrich.
The exhibition features 24 contemporary works by 12 artists who affirm their ties to native culture. The first 25 OAs to register for the tour will receive a paperback copy of “The Round House.”
The Duck Store has offered a one-time discount of 25 percent to purchase the book online via the code ROUND25 at checkout. OAs can also receive the discount at the campus Duck Store at 13th and Alder streets by visiting the cashier in the upstairs book department. The offer is valid through Nov. 30.
The OA Council will also facilitate a book club during winter term. To join, contact Will Hatchet at email@example.com For OAs interested in participating in a spring discussion or to participate on a panel, contact Jill Elizabeth at firstname.lastname@example.org.
