New roles, spaces for Parking and Transportation and UOPD

For years, the university's parking and transportation services were housed with public safety, in Straub Hall facing 15th Avenue.

The two departments have split, and both have moved – Straub Hall is being renovated and will be used for academic purposes when it reopens.

UOPD moved its patrol and operations base to a station at 15th Avenue and Walnut Street in 2011. Parking and Transportation moved in June 2013, when the Straub remodel began.

The current locations:

University of Oregon Police Department

2141 E. 15th Ave. (corner of 15th and Walnut Street)

541-346-2919; police.uoregon.edu

Parking and Transportation Department

1401 Walnut St. (corner of Walnut and Franklin Boulevard)

541-346-5444; parking.uoregon.edu

The Lane Transit District EmX bus stops on Franklin at Walnut, a short walk from each of the buildings. Both facilities also have limited visitor parking.

The new Parking and Transportation Department office features a customer-friendly lobby with multiple service windows, greater customer parking and the ability to handle financial transactions. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
