UO Employee professional development opportunities
A variety of new professional development opportunities are available for UO employees.
The five-session Project Management Series is designed to provide practical pointers and tools for those involved in planning and overseeing projects.
The series consists of five two-hour sessions that allow participants to focus on a particular project of their choosing. The project can be current (one you are already working on); imminent (one you will begin in the very near future), or, potential (one that you would like to consider for implementation). Several members of a project team may attend the series and work together.
The Computer Skills Workshops include Drupal 7 and Excel 2007 or 2010. If you have any questions about computer courses, email Kathy Cooks at kcooks@uoregon.edu.
Other opportunities include:
• Purchasing Rules and Regulations
• The Transition to Kindergarten and Elementary Education: An Overview and Q&A for 4-J Families
• Crucial Conversations (Portland location)
• Crucial Confrontations (Eugene location)
The following workshops are almost full or close to registration deadline:
• Processes and Procedures for Purchasing and Contracting
