Ducks invite faculty/staff to free night of hockey

University of Oregon faculty and staff and their families can watch the Ducks put the biscuit in the basket – for free – when the Oregon Ducks Club Hockey team hosts faculty and staff night at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1.

The team is hoping to pack the stands at Lane County Ice for its final home stand of the season, against Portland State University. The UO team's seniors will be honored for their four years of dedication to the team.

Faculty and staff must present their UO ID cards at the ice rink's ticket office. A hundred extra free tickets will be available for the family members of faculty and staff on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets can be reserved by contacting Garrett Rogers at gdr@uoregon.edu.

Ticket prices for the general public are $2 for students, $5 for adults and children under 12 are free.

Lane County Ice is located at the fairgrounds, at 796 13th Ave., in Eugene.

The Oregon Ducks Club Hockey team is a Division II team in the Western Region of the American Collegiate Hockey Association. The Ducks play in the Pac-8 Conference, which also includes USC, UCLA, University of California-Berkeley, Stanford, University of Washington, Washington State University and the University of Utah.
