UO Music and Dance wrap through Oct. 10
The University of Oregon School of Music and Dance will welcome the world-renowned Mysore Brothers, classical South Indian musicians, to the Beall Concert Hall stage. In addition, the 40th anniversary of the Beall Concert hall pipe organ will be celebrated with a special concert.

A concert by the Mysore Brothers (Mysore Manjunath and Mysore Nagaraj), amazingly gifted South Indian violin maestros. The brothers were child prodigies who matured quickly to emerge as top ranking violinists in India. Representing the Carnatic (South Indian classical) tradition, the Mysore Bros. have performed at innumerable music festivals and conferences the world over, and have collaborated with many outstanding artists. Jürgen Ahrend Pipe Organ 40th Anniversary

UO organist Barbara Baird celebrates the 40thanniversary of Beall Concert Hall’s amazing Jürgen Ahrend pipe organ with a concert featuring repertoire from the 18th through the 20th centuries, designed to demonstrate the full tonal resources of the German Baroque style organ. Composers will include J.S. Bach, Francois Couperin, Felix Mendelssohn, Cesar Franck, Hermann Schroeder, and Guy Bovet.
