Annual auction to benefit public service work

The Oregon Law Students Public Interest Fund from the University of Oregon School of Law will host its annual auction at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Eugene Country Club.

Registration is available online.

OLSPIF is an organization run for and by students of UO School of Law to enable law student employment in positions that serve the public interest.

The auction's proceeds help pay for law students to work in public service organizations that could not otherwise afford legal clerks and whose capacity to help the community is often overwhelmed by the vast amount of client need.

In past years, OLSPIF has provided as many as 14 law students with summer stipends for work at organizations including the Alliance for Children's Rights and the Lane Coalition for Healthy Active Youth.

The silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a dessert auction at 6:30 p.m., and a live auction at 7 p.m. A full dinner buffet will be served throughout the event.

Cost for open table seating is $50 per person. Table sponsorship is $600 for a table of eight or $750 for a table of 10.

Eugene Country Club is at 255 Country Club Road in Eugene.
