Campus parking permits for 2019-20 now available online

University of Oregon employees can go online to order nine- or 12-month academic year parking permits beginning Sept. 9. Transportation Services will mail permits within three business days to home addresses provided on order forms, a new service this year.

Permits are valid for any UO parking lot signed for faculty/staff or in any spaces not marked as reserved or designated for service vehicles or accessible parking. Faculty/staff permits are $40 per month, payable by credit card or monthly payroll deduction, and are valid from the date of purchase.

Parking on campus is traditionally tight, but various construction projects will make this year more challenging.

“It’s a good year to try new options like the bus, biking or a carpool,” Transportation Services director David Reesor said.

The Transportation Services website has extensive information on commuter and transportation alternatives, as well as parking options and maps. For more ideas on travel to, from and around campus, call the active transportation coordinator at 541-346-4588; for help with parking and permits, call 541-346-5444.

A reminder: 2018-19 permits expire Sept. 30.

Special permits, such as the daily parker, carpool and “twilight” or custodial permits for evening shift workers, must be obtained in person from Transportation Services, 1401 Walnut St., just south of the LTD EmX stop at Franklin Boulevard and Walnut Street. A two-step process is required to obtain reserved-space permits.
