Campus trustees to hold open office hours this month

Three members of the Board of Trustees of the University of Oregon, each of whom are dedicated to a specific constituency, are holding open office hours during fall term.

The faculty trustee, nonfaculty staff trustee and student trustee are each holding drop-in opportunities for people to stop by, talk or ask questions about the board, the role of each trustee and issues facing the university.

Office hours also provide opportunities for trustees to gather concerns, suggestions and comments that community members would like to share with the board. In addition to drop-in meetings, the board invites people to email comments directly to the board at trustees@uoregon.edu.

As individuals, trustees cannot speak on behalf of the board but are able to informally discuss their experiences and perspectives. The trustees welcome the opportunity to visit with those interested in attending.

The remaining schedule of drop-in office hours is:

Faculty Trustee Susan Gary:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 15, noon-1 p.m. in Room 109, Friendly Hall.

Nonfaculty staff Trustee Kurt Willcox:

  • Classified staff — Wednesday, Nov. 16, noon-1 p.m. in Room 101, Volcanology.
  • Officers of administration — Friday, Nov. 18, noon-1 p.m. in Room 246, Gerlinger Hall.

Student Trustee Will Paustian:
