Changes to the titles of several university leaders announced

Prior to his departure as president, Michael Schill made changes to the titles of a handful of leadership positions to better reflect the breadth and scope of the portfolios they manage. The changes are also intended to better align University of Oregon leadership titles with the institution’s higher education peers.

The new title for the permanent position of the role of provost is now provost and executive vice president. Jamie Moffitt’s title is now senior vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer. Mike Andreasen’s title has changed to senior vice president for university advancement. André Le Duc’s title is now vice president and chief resilience officer. Abhijit Pandit’s title is now vice president and chief information officer. The title for Mark Schmelz is now vice president and chief human resources officer.

The title changes did not result in any changes to the reporting structure.
