Collective bargaining: Updates on employee union negotiations

The University of Oregon is in active negotiations with employee unions to reach new collective bargaining agreements. The following updates are offered to keep the campus community informed:

United Academics:The first few sessions of the collective bargaining between United Academics and the University of Oregon have focused on UA proposals, which include changes to existing articles in the current collective bargaining agreement and several new articles. More proposals from UA are expected in the weeks ahead. 

The university’s bargaining team has responded with a few counter proposals and will continue to present proposals through the end of February.

University of Oregon Police Association:The University of Oregon and the UO Police Association held their first bargaining session on Jan. 28. They will continue to meet periodically throughout the winter and spring terms in their efforts to establish terms for a new collective bargaining agreement. The current CBA expires on June 30, 2020.
