There are many COVID-19 testing options available for UO students, staff, and employees.
On-campus testing:
With symptoms testing: The UO's Monitoring and Assessment Program (MAP) has launched a new symptomatic testing program for mildly symptomatic UO students, staff, faculty, and members of the Lane County community.
Available for individuals with mild symptoms, similar to the common cold.
Not appropriate for individuals with serious symptoms or needing a medical evaluation. A COVID-19 test is not a substitute for a medical evaluation.
Appointments are not needed.
Individuals with symptoms should not go inside to test. They should go to the McArthur Court ticket booths.
Without symptoms testing:The MAP appointment schedule is available Wednesday afternoon for the following week.
Appointments are strongly encouraged, so make your appointments early.
While walk-ins are accepted, it’s recommended to go as early in the day as possible if you don't have an appointment.

Students with COVID-19 symptoms who are unsure whether they need a medical evaluation, can contact University Health Services at 541-346-2770 or their healthcare provider to determine if and where they should be tested.
Due to increased demand in testing, plan an hour for the check-in and testing process for both types of testing. The UO MAP team is hard at work providing PCR tests to the UO and Lane County communities.
Masks are required. Well fitted face covering must be worn in line even if you are outside.
MAP will be closed January 17.

Lane County provides an extensive list of COVID-19 testing sites. Check with testing facilities to ensure they meet your test type and time frame requirements.
Students should not go to the hospital emergency room (ER) solely to get a test. Please do go to the ER or call 911 if you are experiencing severe symptoms.
Masks
Wearing a properly fitted mask or face covering is an effective and important protection again COVID-19.
Masks are required on the UO campus in all indoor spaces, except while actively eating or drinking, or alone in an enclosed space.
Masks should fit snugly around the nose and mouth with no gaps. Cloth masks continue to be effective when worn properly. KN95 masks are also effective.
Masks are to be worn while teaching or attending in-person classes at all times. See face-covering guidance.
Disposable KN95 masks are available in classrooms during the upcoming surge for those who have forgotten their masks at home.
UO students, staff, and faculty are required to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and individual is up to date if they are:
Boosted, or
Completed the primary series of Pfizer or Moderna within the last six months, or
Completed the primary dose of Johnson and Johnson/Janssen (J&J) within the last two months.
Booster requirement: The UO requires faculty, staff and students to get a booster shot by January 31st or 30 days after becoming eligible.
Students: Log into MyUOHealth. Visit the "immunization tab." This is the same process used to upload your original vaccination information.
Employees: Fill out this online form and enter your original vaccine information, a copy of your vaccine card, and your booster shot information. This is the same form used to verify your initial vaccine status. If you have an appointment for a booster shot that is after the deadline, you can enter that date. You will need to upload your booster shot information after you receive the shot.
Exemption Process: If you requested an exemption for your primary doses, no additional action is needed. If you are requesting an exemption for the booster only, details are being finalized and instructions for requesting an exemption will seen to campus soon.
Symptom Self-Check
Anyone coming to campus is required to monitor themselves for symptoms and stay home if sick. Students and employees with symptoms should review the COVID-19 exposure scenarios and guidance before coming to campus.
Employee Vaccination Reporting Reminder: The deadline for employees to verify their initial COVID-19 vaccination status or request an exemption is January 14. Employees who haven't already, should fill out this online form and upload a copy of their vaccine card or a medical or religious exemption form. Employees will need all required forms ready to be uploaded before they begin completing the online vaccination requirement form. Booster shots can also be recorded using this process.
Prevention: The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus. The CDC outline some general precautions to minimize the spread of respiratory diseases.
