What You Need to Know

As the University of Oregon moves toward more normal campus operations and we have fewer updates about COVID-19, we will focus on sharing more sources of information and resources from our public health partners. 

UO Vaccination Rates

Faculty and Staff: 95.3% 
Students: 96.8%
The vaccination rate is available on the COVID-19 Safety Dashboard. All UO students, faculty, and staff are required to be fully vaccinated or submit a vaccine exemption and undergo weekly testing

Where are masks required at the UO?
Masks continue to be required in health care settings. Health care settings at the UO are: University Health Services, Monitoring and Assessment Program (MAP) work spaces and testing sites, HEDCO clinic, Athletics medicine facilities, College of Education Prevention Science Institute (COEPSI) Child and Family Center clinical program, UO Psychology Clinic, and PeaceHealth North lobby. Please remember to bring a mask with you when visiting these locations.

COVID-19 Cases

UO: There were 45 members of the UO community who tested positive or were considered presumptive positive in the last seven days (April 11-17).
OHA: State and county cases and trends are reported on the Oregon Health Authority COVID-19 data page. State and county vaccine distribution is reported on the OHA vaccination trends page.

Reminders

Booster Reporting: After becoming eligible and receiving your COVID-19 booster shot, remember to update your vaccine status with the UO. To submit your booster shot information:
  • Students: Log in to the MyUOHealth Portal. Visit the "Immunizations" tab. This is the same process used to upload your original vaccination information.
  • Employees: Fill out this online form and upload a copy of your vaccine card. This is the same form used to verify your initial vaccine status.
Exemption process: For information on the exemption process visit the student or employee vaccination webpages. 
COVID-19 Testing: Individuals with no symptoms or mild symptoms can get tested through MAP. More information about MAP testing including how to schedule an appointment and how to access results can be found on the Coronavirus Resources website.

Lane County provides an extensive list of additional COVID-19 testing sites. Check with testing facilities to ensure they meet your test type and time frame requirements.
KN95 Masks: KN95 masks continue to be available on campus to faculty, staff, and students. With proper care KN95 masks can be worn up to five times. Learn more about KN95 masks on this safety sheet. Pick up locations are available on the Coronavirus Resources website.
Prevention: The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus. The CDC outlines some general precautions for personal prevention.
