COVID-19 Update
April 25, 2022  •   coronavirus.uoregon.edu

What You Need to Know

The University of Oregon continues to carefully monitor COVID-19 conditions and follow public health guidance. Lane County has maintained a Low COVID-19 Community Level since mid-March. As the state, county, and our university resume more normal activities and operations due to improved conditions, the university will end or pause some COVID-related programs, including the required testing program. This COVID-19 Update will now be sent to campus as needed rather than every week.
If there is a change to the county community level, the UO will work in consultation with local public health authorities to determine which programs or prevention strategies to resume.
Thank you, UO community, for helping reduce the risks of COVID-19 and protecting our community. Throughout the pandemic we have supported each other by getting vaccinated, wearing masks, staying home when sick, and more. COVID-19 is still with us, and we thank you for continuing to take personal steps to stay healthy.
The UO is continuing to provide the following COVID-19 resources:
Additional local, state, and federal resources and information through the Coronavirus Resources website.

UO Vaccination Rates

Faculty and Staff: 95.3%
Students: 96.8%
The vaccination rate is available on the COVID-19 Safety Dashboard. All UO students, faculty, and staff are required to be fully vaccinated or submit a vaccine exemption.

Reminders

COVID-19 Testing: Individuals with no symptoms or mild symptoms can get tested through the UO's Monitoring and Assessment Program. MAP test results are available within 2-4 business days. This is not a rapid test.
Masks are required at COVID-19 testing sites. Masks should be worn in line even if you are outside. For more information about testing including how to register for a test and the upcoming week's schedule visit the Coronavirus Resources website.
Booster Reporting: After becoming eligible and receiving your COVID-19 booster shot, remember to update your vaccine status with the UO. To submit your booster shot information:
  • Students: Log in to the MyUOHealth Portal. Visit the "Immunizations" tab. This is the same process used to upload your original vaccination information.
  • Employees: Fill out this online form and upload a copy of your vaccine card. This is the same form used to verify your initial vaccine status.
Exemption process: For information on the exemption process visit the student or employee vaccination webpages.
Prevention: The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus. The CDC outlines some general precautions for personal prevention.
