Test appointments were to be scheduled through the housing portal; instructions were sent to residence hall students by email. How do I know if I’ve been exposed to a positive case on campus?
Detailed information about COVID-19 cases in the UO community is available online on the UO case tracking page. This includes information on UO employees who have been on campus during their period of transmissibility. Each employee case report includes the building where the person works, to ensure others working in that facility are made aware. Upon notification of an employee’s positive status, UO Human Resources conducts workplace contact tracing and notifies any other employee determined to be a close contact and informed of the expectation to quarantine.
There were 101 members of the UO community who tested positive or were considered presumptive positive in the last seven days (January 7-13) as of 10:00 a.m. today. A total of 834 members of the UO community have tested positive for COVID-19 since reporting began. Information about known cases within the UO community is updated by 10:00 a.m. weekdays.
The Oregon Health Authority reports 129,109 confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases in the state, 7,948 cases in Lane County, 27,705 in Multnomah County, and 913 in Coos County as of January 14.
Mask up! The UO requires everyone—faculty, staff, students, visitors, and vendors—to use face coverings across all UO locations. Face coverings are also required in outdoor public spaces on campus, and we recommend that individuals wear face masks when alone in a space.
