COVID restrictions lifting: Governor Brown has announced that she will be lifting most COVID-19 restrictions on Wednesday due to the high vaccination rate among adult Oregonians. The UO will provide an update on health and safety requirements for summer operations this week.
MAP switches to saliva-based test: Beginning today, the UO’s COVID-19 testing program will move from nasal swab testing to using saliva samples, which can be processed at a fraction of the cost of a nasal swab. Individuals should not eat or drink for 30 minutes prior to their saliva test. Testing days and times vary; check weekly schedules online.
Moving back onto campus? Don't forget you'll need a parking permit. Daily and monthly parking permits are available through the end of August through Transportation Services. Metered parking is also available in some locations. As a reminder, a new zonal parking system will launch in August.
COVID-19 Cases
UO: There were 2 members of the UO community who tested positive or were considered presumptive positive in the past seven days (June 20-27).
Prevention: The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to the virus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention outline some general precautions to minimize the spread of respiratory diseases.
