DAILY CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Latest announcements and news

Here is the current information related to university operations and programs. The latest information is available on the UO Coronavirus webpage and FAQ page.

NEW:

  • President Michael H. Schill announced in an April 2 virtual town hall that he will immediately take a voluntary 12 percent pay cut and the institution’s 10 vice presidents and athletic director will each take a 10 percent cut. During the nearly 90-minute town hall, available on the town hall website, Schill and other UO leaders address issues including the UO’s financial outlook, remote education technology and employee benefits.
  • The OVPRI and research IMT group host its second series of virtual town halls on Wednesday, April 8, to ensure the health and safety of its research teams and answer questions related to ongoing research. Anyone interested should register in advance.
  • The Office of the Provost sent the second of a series of weekly emails about remote teaching to faculty today to continue to provide guidance and support for remote education.

  • All students are encouraged to make an appointment with an academic advisor to make sure you are on track and plan for future terms. We've also created a list of offices available to support you remotely and help answer your questions.
