DAILY CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Latest news and campus announcements

Here is the current information related to university operations and programs. The latest information is available on the UO Coronavirus webpage and FAQ page.

NEW:

  • Starting Thursday, April 2, the University Counseling Center will offer videoconferencing health services for students in Oregon and California. Students can still access in-person drop-in and other mental health services in the University Health, Counseling, and Testing Center building. Students with questions about options for mental health support should call the Counseling Center at 541-346-3227. The same phone number also functions as an after-hours crisis and support line for all UO students regardless of location. Visit the University Counseling Center website for more information.
  • Based on the governor’s March 23 executive order, in-person access to buildings has been limited to those conducting critical operations and services. There are registration processes in place for instructors and those in research-related positions. Updated signs are being placed on building doors this week.

REMINDER:

  • The university will host a virtual town hall for faculty, staff, and graduate educators at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, to address topics such as employee benefits, academic support services, and technology and information services. You can watch the livestream on the town hall website. You can also submit questions ahead of time using this web form or ask questions during the town hall by emailing townhall@uoregon.edu. A recording will be available on the town hall website.
