Deadline is April 12 for Latino/a research funds

University of Oregon faculty have until April 12 to apply for research funds from the UO Center for Latino/a and Latin American Studies to be used during the 2013-14 academic year.

The seed grant competition supports research that puts Latino and Latin American studies into conversation with one another or otherwise fits within the CLLAS mission.

The center plans to issue two to three grants for $2,000 to $3,000 each. Projects that include collaboration between UO units, involve the wider Eugene/Springfield or Oregon communities, or propose other forms of community engagement are encouraged. The center will also consider projects that involve nontraditional forms of collaboration and/or community engagement.

For more information, contact the Center for Latino/a & Latin American Studies Assistant Director Eli Meyer or graduate assistant Heather Wolford at cllas@uoregon.edu or 541-346-5286.
