Duck Days and track meet will boost campus traffic Friday

Booming attendance for Duck Days and the Oregon Relays track meet will mean extra parking and traffic congestion on the University of Oregon campus on Friday, April 17.

Duck Days, the UO’s spring campus visit program for prospective students and their families, will bring some 750 visitors to campus, while meet officials, competitors and fans for the track meet will number in the thousands.

With sunny and mild weather in the forecast, it will easy for campus commuters to choose alternative transportation like biking, walking or taking the bus. As always, LTD buses are free with a UO ID card.

Those who do drive should avoid central campus, the areas around Hayward Field and Columbia Garage.
