Election night will see changes to traffic flow on campus

The university is planning to close campus sections of East 13th Avenue and University Street to all vehicle traffic on the evenings of Nov. 3 and 4 in anticipation of potential added foot traffic due to the election.

Starting at 5 p.m. on both evenings, East 13th Avenue will be closed at Kincaid Street on the west and Beech Street, just past Oregon Hall, on the east.

University Street will be closed just south of the Erb Memorial Union.

The closures will apply to all nonemergency vehicles. The roadways will be blocked off and the closure points will be staffed throughout. The roads are anticipated to reopen at 2 a.m. on both nights.
