Employees encouraged to take care of one another

Human Resources is encouraging employees to take care of one another, especially during the current pandemic.

The “Take care of one another” strategy – part of the employee engagement initiative – includes protecting other Ducks by following health and safety regulations for face coverings and symptom self-checks, demonstrating kindness, staying informed and promoting respect.

“Taking a moment to remember and appreciate that we are part of a larger community is important. After all, ducks are part of a flock, and we should tend to each other to keep our flock strong,” said Mark Schmelz, chief human resources officer.

HR has launched an employee engagement initiative featuring five strategies. Employees are encouraged to explore ideas and suggested actions as outlined on the HR website. Suggested action steps for supervisors are also available.
