Faculty invited to Zoom session on federal research funding

All University of Oregon faculty members engaged in research are invited to attend the “Preparing for the 118th Congress: Setting Federal Research Funding Priorities and Advocacy” presentation Dec. 1 from noon to 1 p.m.

The opportunity to ask discuss issues and ask questions is co-sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation and Government and Community Relations.

The intent is to raise awareness about the institution’s advocacy for federal research funding and to develop an inclusive process that enables two offices to gather continuing and emerging faculty priorities. It is also a chance to identify strategic opportunities to secure resources for research at the UO that align with new federal funding opportunities and on-going programmatic appropriations.

The presentation will be held on Zoom. Attendees must log in to Zoom with a UO email address. Register by Tuesday, Nov. 29.
