Finance and administration announces reorganization

A series of moves in the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration are expected to foster integration and improve service.

The reorganization was announced Dec. 10 by Jamie Moffitt, vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer.

“I am excited about what I believe is a leadership structure that fosters integration and builds upon the strengths of our team,” Moffitt wrote in a memo to the division and university leadership.

Most notable of the changes is the promotion of André Le Duc to chief resilience officer and associate vice president. Le Duc now oversees the UO Police Department as well as the university’s other safety and risk management-focused units, such as emergency management and environmental health and safety.

Nancy Resnick, chief human resources officer, will also take on two new areas: the Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity and the retirement plans management unit, which administers the five retirement plans used by all former Oregon University System institutions. Resnick began as HR chief in April.
