Health center offers a mentorship program for UO students

Applications are now open for a student mentorship program that offers insights into the health care system and the kinds of jobs available at the UO’s health center.

The program is a joint effort by the Student Health Advisory Committee and University Health Services. The two are expanding the program this year, and applications are due by Nov. 12.

Students are paired with University Health Services mentors with backgrounds in health administration, dentistry, post-traumatic stress, medicine and other areas. The application form and information on the program are available online.

Mentors and students will be paired by Nov. 19. A mandatory information session will be held at the end of fall term, and the program will run through the end of spring term.
