Input requested for board evaluation

The Board of Trustees has begun its annual duty of evaluating the university president with an assessment of interim President Scott Coltrane.

Coltrane accepted the interim presidency while the search for a permanent president was conducted. He will return to the provost’s position on July 1.

The Presidential Factors Committee is accepting input from the campus community via an electronic survey as part of its annual performance review. This process and policy is new as part of the governance change. Prior to the UO having an institutional board, evaluation of the president was conducted by the statewide board.

Anonymous submissions will not be accepted; however, an individual may request that one’s identity is kept confidential. If confidentiality is requested, identity and comments will be shared only with the Board Chair, the Presidential Factors Committee, and the University Secretary.

Answers may be shared with interim President Coltrane in an unattributed manner.

The deadline is May 24 for submissions to the online survey at: https://oregon.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_5szRNbcOIT8iyrP.
