June grant subjects range from dyslexia screening to summer science enrichment

UO researchers received 40 new grants contracts and awards in June, including funding from the Department of Education to validate DIBELS, the UO’s research-backed instrument for evaluating reading in kindergarten through eighth grade classrooms as a screener for dyslexia and a grant from the Oregon Community Foundation to support the UO SPICE program’s summer science enrichment activities for female, non-binary and trans students in grades 6-9.
