Map tells story of UO impact

Wondering what kind of impact the University of Oregon has in the state?

There’s a map for that.

An interactive one, in fact – the UO InfoGraphics Lab has released the Oregon Impact 2013 website, which allows you to view the fiscal and community impacts of the UO on the state by geographic and legislative districts.

You can select geographic regions by County, Senate or House buttons, or click on a county or district of interest to see fiscal impacts and demographics. For example, there were 1,599 vendors in Lane County who worked with the UO in 2011-2012 and they were paid $73.3 million.

In addition to vendors and UO employees in each county and the amount paid to them, data can be found on students, aid, community colleges, alumni, vendors and employees. Information includes students enrolled from a county, alums, institutional, federal and state aid, and PathwayOregon participants.
