UO researchers and scholars were recently featured in stories about the costs of wildfires, climate change, diversity in comics and the Lesbian Oral History Project, among other topics.

Cassandra Moseley, associate vice president for research and research professor, has been in several media outlets recently talking about the rising costs of wildfires. Wisconsin Public Radio and The Daily Beast­­ interviewed her after reading an article she wrote for The Conversation.

• Forbes featured research by UO computer and information science professor Ramakrishnan Durairajan.
• Product design professor Kiersten Muenchinger wrote a piece for The Conversation about how silicone took over kitchens.
• Earth sciences professor Doug Toomey and doctoral student Miles Bodmer co-authored a story for The Conversation about their new research on why parts of the Cascadia fault are more seismically active than others.
• Oregon Public Broadcasting aired a segment featuring UO journalism instructors Lisa Heyamoto and Todd Milbourn.
• Judith Raiskin, associate professor of women’s, gender and sexuality studies, and manuscripts librarian Linda Long were interviewed by Eugene Weekly about the Lesbian Oral History Project.
