New award program supports research

UO Vice President for Research and Innovation Kimberly Espy has announced a new award program to support and enhance UO research.

“Showcasing Oregon Research: Conference Support Awards” are available to tenured or tenure-track, full-time faculty and provide partial support for organizing conferences that promote and encourage scholarship, research and creative work.

The awards are intended to support one-time or initial events, rather than established and/or annual events. Awards will be made up to $1,000. Conference applications will be considered on an ongoing basis.

Financial support may be requested for honorarium and/or travel and expenses for external keynote or distinguished speakers. The speakers may not be employees of the UO.

Grants are awarded for a one year-period and funds must be used by the end date indicated in the application. Further details and eligibility guidelines are available online.
