New session of WW starts Jan. 9 on campus

Faculty and staff wanting to get healthier in the new year can sign up for on-campus WW (Weight Watchers Reimagined) Workplace Workshops. Starting Jan. 1, a streamlined way to sign up directly through a PEBB/WW online portal is available.

PEBB covers the cost of the workshops for benefit-eligible employees and their families. The program includes a free phone app to track meals, which research has shown to aid in weight loss. Employees can sign up or renew at any time to obtain a monthly pass. Options include 'Digital' or 'Workshop + Digital.' The 13-week session requirement will be discontinued.

A WW-trained coach leads the group meetings every Thursday at noon on campus. A new myWW program backed by years of research with three customized weight loss plans to inspire healthy habits, wellness and mindfulness debuted this fall. The current cohort of participants has collectively lost over 100 pounds in 10 weeks.

Details on how to sign up for the Jan. 9 session is posted on the WW page of the HR benefits website.
