New survey will help find great, and not so great, campus spots

Campus planners on Friday launched myCampus survey, a new tool that allows people to give feedback about special places on campus and places that need work, as well as how students and employees get from one place to another on campus.

The survey includes an interactive map for people to click and drag pin icons representing places such as favorite eating locations, reading nooks and special benches. The three-minute survey also requests information about routes used to travel through campus.

Campus planners and consultants working on the UO Campus Physical Framework Vision Project will evaluate responses from the survey  to inform future development, including opportunities or issues that need to be addressed.

The survey will close Feb. 28. Survey takers who wish to share contact information can be entered in a drawing for a chance to win one of four $25 Duck Store gift certificates.

To learn more, two open houses will be held in mid February.  The first open house will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, in the Giustina Ballroom of the Ford Alumni Center. The second will be the next day, Feb. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Gerlinger Hall lounge.
