New tool to support human subjects research now available

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation recently fully launched its Institutional Review Board module. The tool supports UO’s Institutional Review Board, which protects the rights and welfare of participants in research involving human subjects.

The full launch of the initiative, which included a migration of all existing studies to the new system, allows investigators to submit and manage all of their human subjects research transactions through the module.

In February, the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation announced the soft launch of the Institutional Review Board module; the first of a two-phase rollout was limited to new study submissions only.

Researchers can access the Institutional Review Board module by going to its website.
