A just-launched website offers UO students, faculty and staff a new and easy way to report bias and discrimination as well as find resources and support services that help address campus climate issues.
The new Respect website is at respect.uoregon.edu. It supplements the continuing efforts of the Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity by bringing together in one place all of the resources available on campus for confronting bias and fulfilling the university’s clearly stated goals for inclusivity.
From reporting an incident to finding diverse communities and support, the new website provides a one-stop location for those who have faced discrimination, those looking to contribute the campus diversity efforts and those who simply want to know more about the resources available.
The Respect website includes:
- A link for reporting an incident, including confidential reporting options.
- Access to resources and programs such as the Multicultural Center, Office of International Affairs, Office of Equity and Inclusion, Center on Diversity and Community, Office of the Dean of Students and Teaching Effectiveness Program.
- Events and programming related to equity, inclusion and diversity.
- Frequently asked questions.
- An ideas box to share thoughts and feedback about improving campus climate.
The website is part of the UO’s ongoing effort to maintain a campus that provides a robust environment for civil and respectful discourse and debate as well as meet its obligations under Title IX, Title VI and other applicable laws and UO policies.
